With this project I wanted to take another shot at houses/complicated buildings, and I think I nailed this one. Also those plants looked like a blast to make, and they totally were!

Again I'm not very good at making gifs but here's some of the fireflies and falling leaves in action

I did vertex painting of a tileable ivy texture and then used 3D ivy to get a good mix and make it look better than just one or the other

I modeled the straw and then tiled it in zbrush, turned out way better than I thought it would.

It has "extra" wall/roof faces to make UVing and vertex painting easier. I wanted to use more geometry to show more detail than I've done previously

They're arranged with depth so I could just move the piece forward or back and it would automatically reduce/increase ivy density depending on how much I moved it. Good middle ground between fixed density and painstakingly placing every single leaf.

The pretty plants and their single texture/material! Since they're up close I didn't skimp on the geo.

Same thing with mixing planes of a texture and the 3D counterpart. Looks much better than just painted branches with the "real" branches strewn in.
