First of all, huge thanks to Elliot Upton (https://www.artstation.com/elliotupton) for creating this beautiful concept art!

I wanted to do this project to practice my foliage skills, set building efficiency, and to see how close I could get some real rendered Unreal engine gameplay to a super stylized piece of concept art. I think it went pretty well!

It's a good thing I'm not trying to be a professional gif-maker

I had a lot of fun with this project, you can barely see this little circle-y moon pattern in the concept art so I took some artistic liberties and fleshed it out a little, it's not very prominent/noticeable but I really like it.

Tried to not get crazy with the bevel tool and tried to be as appropriately poly-efficient without sacrificing how I wanted it to look.

If I ever wanted to expand on this scene, the arches and pillars are nice and modular/adaptable.

In my on-going battle with foliage, I think I've found a pretty good point for reducing overdraw while maintaining branch/leaf flexibility

These stairs were fun to make, not as fun to UV

I wanted to try spoofing the shadows on the pillars and indentations of the circle arches. Less efficient but it looked so much better than a single tile-able material for everything I think it was worth it.

I looked up a lot of water techniques and what I've ended up with is definitely overkill for how shallow/simple mine ended up being. This would probably work really well for a future pond, though, Depth Fade is rad in larger bodies of water.
